Meet Our Physicians

Dr. ZieglerDr. Jason Zeigler, Ohio native, attended Kent State University and obtained a Podiatric Medical Degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed residency at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to North Carolina in 2001.

Dr. Zeigler is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialists in Podiatry, Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds and in Diabetic Footwear. He is a member of the NC Foot and Ankle Society and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Zeigler is also certified in Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT), a non-invasive method which has proven to be successful in the treatment of heel pain.

Dr. Zeigler and his wife Kelly have two sons and a daughter. In his spare time he enjoys camping, traveling, golf and horseback riding.

Dr. Andrew PeteryDr. J. Andrew Petery, a Pennsylvania native, has practiced podiatric medicine and surgery for 21 years. Dr. Petery completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. He received his Podiatric Medical Degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed an internship and surgical residency at Hennpin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He is certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is accredited by the American College of Foot Surgeons. Dr. Petery has extensive experience in major reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Petery and his wife Jill have one young son.

Dr. William TomaszewskiDr. William Tomaszewski, a Pennsylvania native, attended Millersville University in Pennsylvania for his undergraduate studies, “Dr. Tom”, as he is commonly known, pursued his medical career and received his Podiatric Medical Degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. A surgical residency program brought him to the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area.

Dr. Tom is certified in Foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also accredited by the American College of Foot Surgeons as well as an active member of the North Carolina Podiatric Society.

With his profession established in North Carolina, Dr. Tom met and married his wife Michelle. They now have two young sons and enjoy spending time with them, gardening and fishing. He also has interest in antiques, movie posters as well as woodworking and remodeling.

Dr. Tom makes a continual effort of broadening his knowledge to bring his patients the latest in medical and technological advances.

Dr. Carlos CooperDr. Carlos Cooper has practiced podiatry and foot surgery for more than 50 years. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a member of The American Podiatric Medical Association, The American College of Foot Surgery and the NC Foot and Ankle Society.

Dr. Cooper has been a resident of Forsyth County for most of his life and resides in Winston-Salem with his wife Louvene. He has five adult children and seven grandchildren. He devotes a good percent of his time to volunteer services to the community. Dr. Cooper has also traveled on several mission trips abroad and helped patients in impoverished countries.

Dr. George R. VitoDr. George R. Vito,a native of Rochester, New York, has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery for 23 years. Following undergraduate studies at Cortland State College in Cortland, New York and the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Vito completed Graduate School at Brockport State College in Brockport, New York and obtained his Podiatric Medical Degree from Iowa College of Podiatric Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a 3 year surgical residency program at Northlake Regional Medical Center in Tucker, Georgia and became Chief Podiatric Resident during his third year. Dr. Vito also obtained a Masters in Business Administration and Masters of Science/Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix Arizona. He also received a certificate in Financial Crimes and Investigation from Utica College.

Dr. Vito has attended and lectured at seminars across the country and abroad and holds many awards in advanced surgical technology and procedures. Dr. Vito is the only surgeon in the United States awarded an Honorary Professorship of Orthopaedics from the Ilizarov Institute in Kurgan Siberia, which is the largest orthopaedic hospital in the world. He has also devoted a great deal of time to mission work in Central and South America.
